If
you are use to landing Stripers
with monofilament then I'm sure
you've said to yourself "I
think I have a fish on but I'm not
sure ???". When I fished mono
I said that many times. Now I
predominately use Dacron
(sometimes I run steel to get a
little deeper). With mono you can
hardly tell there is a fish on
there is so much stretch. Dacron
offers you a whole new fishing
experience. Instead of him taking
off and just stretching all that
mono, he hits the bait and
immediately sets the hook. Landing
him just gets better. You feel
every twist, turn and run he
makes. Steel line might give you a
little more response but dacron is
far more forgiving and easy to
use. In most circumstances it's
benefits outweigh steel lines
difficult nature.
